Local's Night is starting back up but this time it is not for just the summer and it isn't just for nights. Rim Bowling is accepting donations for Touch of Home, a program dedicated to sending care packages to our troops overseas. Any amount is welcome but if you make a donation of $250.00 dollars it will pay for the postage of the care packages for one full year of two packages per month at $12.95 for postage. If you make this donation you get your name painted on the wall at Rim Bowling and Entertainment Center, your name published in the Skyforest Elks #2393 monthly bulletin to over 250 members, and also your name published in the local newspaper with the gratitude of your community. If our goal of 15 businesses at $250.00 each is made we will be able to send out 270 packages in one year. We are currently sending out over 100 packages per week.

Rim Lanes is hosting our first annual Community Services Tournament on September 10th at 2pm. We are looking for teams of four comprised of our first responders to compete for their favorite charity. The prize money form the event sponsors will be distributed to the top three teams and your entry fee will also be donated to the prize fund. It is $7 per person and that includes 3 games (tournament style), shoe rental, pizza, and soda. The winner also claims bragging rights among their first responders. Rim Lanes is hosting their first annual Community Services Bowling Tournament on Saturday September 10th. The tournament is being held on the eve of the 10th anniversary of 9/11 and Rim Lanes is asking for sponsors to donate in support of our first responders. Gold donation is $50 and you will receive an honorable mention during the event. Platinum donations are $100 and the donator will have advertising on one of the lanes. Rim Lanes has added to the fun so now you can come not only to have fun with your friends and family in a game of bowling but also in a game of pool! The pool table is available during normal business hours and costs $6 per hour Mon-Thurs, $8 Fri-Sun, and for league bowlers can play for only $4 per hour! There are some rules so pay attention.

Gambling
Fighting
Foul Language
Damaging Property

Rim Lanes is having a Ten Shot Tournament! It is an indoor sports triathlon that features pool, darts, and bowling! It will be held on September 30th at 6pm, and on October 11th at 2pm. There will only be 32 teams of two people so sign up before the slots fill up! It costs $50 for each team so that is $25 per competitor. The prize fund however which is based upon 32 teams showing up and is 50% of the registration fees, will be given to the top four ranking teams. Fourth place wins $50, third place wins $100, second place wins $200, and first place wins $450! It is going to be a really fun tournament so sign up while you can! Rim Lanes is having a ladies tournament on Friday September 2nd! Check-in will be at 6:30pm, practice will begin at 6:50pm, and bowling will begin at 7:00pm! Now if you have been to a Rim Lanes tournament it probably hasn't been like this one. There will be three games and each will follow a different set of rules for scoring. The first game will be 9 no tap so if the first throw knocks over 9 pins it will count as an automatic strike. The second game will be 3, 6, 9 strike, and this means that on the 3rd, 6th, and 9th frame you will automatically get a strike without even having to bowl. For the third game it is just a regular scratch so you will have to bowl your A game! It will cost $17.00 to get in but we only have room for 36 ladies so sign up fast! The prize fun will be $250 based upon those 36 ladies showing up to have a great time! So ladies bring your friends and come have a great time at Rim Lanes and maybe even win some cash! Bowling for Dollars is now every Thursday night starting June 2nd and ending on August 25th! With Bowling for Dollars you get paid for making strikes, spares, or picking up a split! The way it works is that mixed in with the normal pins are special colored pins, depending on where those pins get placed depends on how much money is up for grabs if you knock all the pins over. The payout is anywhere from 5 cents, to 75 dollars depending on the shot you pull off. There is also a strike pot, and games to play which could yield in more winnings. Bowling for Dollars is $16 per person, with strike pot, fun and games, and other raffle tickets set at $1 for one and $5 for 6.

Rim Lanes has special group rates for groups of 20 or more people during the summer. It costs $10.00 for 3 games with shoes, or $13.00 for 3 games with shoes as well as two pieces of pizza and soda for all of the bowlers.

You must call ahead of time to reserve your lanes as the lanes may be full upon arrival; this is a required thing so make sure you don't forget it when planning your weekend fun.
